Havvind VEST — a regional boost for floating offshore wind
An industry-transition programme led by METCentre, helping supplier companies to move from oil and gas into the floating offshore wind industry.
The idea is straightforward: connect regional suppliers directly to the full-scale floating wind turbine projects coming to METCentre's test sites. By delivering to real offshore wind developments, companies gain the reference projects that are essential for winning contracts in the national and international market. The programme combines mapping of regional suppliers and developer needs, an introduction to offshore wind, supplier–developer meetings, and support for piloting new concepts.
The ambition is clear: to strengthen Rogaland as Norway's offshore wind hub and give regional industry a competitive head start into one of the most important markets of the green transition.
